At Atlantis Engineering, we follow a meticulous and controlled investment casting process to ensure precision, performance, and reliability in every component we manufacture.

  • Tooling & Design
    Dies (patterns/tools) are developed using the latest CAD/CAM technology, ensuring dimensional accuracy and consistency. We also provide technical support to help customers create cost-effective and optimized product designs.

  • Wax Pattern Creation
    Wax patterns are injected using high-quality dies. Each wax pattern is 100% dimensionally inspected before proceeding to the next stage.

  • Shell Building (Ceramic Coating)
    Wax trees (clusters) are coated with ceramic in temperature and humidity-controlled environments, delivering excellent surface finish and dimensional accuracy.

  • Dewaxing
    Wax is removed through a de-waxing process by placing ceramic moulds in a hot wax bath, leaving a clean cavity for metal pouring.

  • Shell Firing & Metal Pouring
    The ceramic moulds are fired at 900°C to 1150°C based on casting geometry and size. Molten metal is then poured into the heated moulds.

  • Knockout & Finishing
    After solidification, castings undergo fettling and finishing including gate cutting, grinding, sand/shot blasting, leaching, and deburring.

  • Heat Treatment
    Castings are heat-treated as per material specifications. Heat treatment cycles are fully recorded and documented. Our furnaces are calibrated and certified by Lloyd’s Register of Shipping.

  • Surface Finishing Options
    We offer a variety of finishes including passivation, electro-polishing, blackening, powder coating, glass bead blasting, and shot blasting, tailored to customer specifications.

  • Final Inspection & Machining
    All castings undergo 100% visual inspection and critical dimensions are measured before packaging. We also supply castings in fully or semi-machined conditions as required.
